Phish

I've heard of the band Phish but I have never listened to them. My twin sister is a huge fan and even went to New York City to see them in concert for four days during New Years Eve. Still, I haven't listened to the music but turns out they are really popular. The band consists of four members: Trey Anastasio on the guitar, Mike Gordon on the bass, Page McConnel on the piano, and Jon Fishman on the drums.  They play a vast array of music from bluegrass, rock and roll, and even the occasional barber shop quartet.  Basically they are a jam band and play everything.  They are improv masters and you probably won't hear the same song played the same way twice.  They go on long experimental tangents and segue seamlessly into new songs. Their sound is very diverse. They play very loud and then extremely soft and quiet. They can get very low and very high. Each member adds a unique characteristic to the band.
