Bumper Sticker

There, their, and they’re… get it write.
my bumper sticker idea:

"I call this sexy subaru forester right here, the party bus ;)"
Ok, Ive been wanting to get a tattoo  ever since i turned 18 back in june.  If i had to get a tattoo, I would get a tattoo of a single feather on my spine, closest to my neck.  And it would be mostly gray and black with some blue, red and white hues in it. boom.

Tattoo of a infinity

Tattoo:
My tattoo would be a symbol of the infinity sign and I would have it placed on the lower part of my back. The infinity sign represents state of being infinite, never-ending, endless, unlimited, immeasurable…

Develop a statement for a bumper sticker.

  • It’s not enough to know where you are going, you actually need to know how to drive.
  • Your need for speeding, is my need for breaking.
  • No matter where you go, there you are!

Interesting Fact

At age 47, the Rolling Stones' bassist, Bill Wyman, began a relationship with 13-year old Mandy Smith, with her mother's blessing. Six years later, they were married, but the marriage only lasted a year. Not long after, Bill's 30-year-old son Stephen married Mandy's mother, age 46. That made Stephen a stepfather to his former stepmother. If Bill and Mandy had remained married, Stephen would have been his father's father-in-law and his own grandpa.

When I posted some of my own lyrics to Facebook I acutally got a couple of likes from it.  And one of my friends asked which country singer sang those lyrics.

Fact

Just some random facts about a good band =)
The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner.
With five number one singles, six Grammy, five American Music Awards, and six number one albums, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s. The Eagles' Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best-selling record of all time.

The Eagles were inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, where for the only time to date, all seven present-and-former members performed together. The name "Eagles" was chosen for a variety of reasons - its association with Western mythology, freedom, Americana... and the fact that in Glenn's mind, it sounded like a sports team or a gang.

Sage Francis- drug addicted magician turned rapper

Sage Francis - Once a well known magician who became addicted to drugs and alcohol and later turned to music, hip-hop specifically. He hates government despises the church and is scarily objective about issues that happen in this country.  His music is emotional, one can feel his pain and completely see where his is coming from. He currently is heavily involved in helping youth stay off drugs and alcohol through sponsorships and also sponsors children in South Africa.

Nicki Minaj

An intersting fact about Nicki Minaj is that she has multiple alter egos. Growing up, there was trouble and violence at home so she created these alter egos to escape. I personally didn't know about her background and to now know why she has developed multiple alter egos is interesting and gives me a better understanding of her as an artist.

Interesting Fact

Although an actor of some renown, Jared Leto from the band 30 Seconds to Mars, doesn't use this to promote his band. In fact he refuses to play any shows where they use his name to promote the band.

I thought this was interesting because it really fits with a punk ethos of not selling out. It would seem that someone so connected to Hollywood would not have much problem using this edge to promote their  music career as so many others have done. In this case Leto sticks with his ethics.

Why they call themselves Dope.

"Dope is a New York-based quintet led by brothers Edsel Dope (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Simon Dope (keyboards). Children of divorced parents, the two grew up separately in Florida. Simon studied chemistry at the University of Florida, then received a scholarship to Polytechnic in Brooklyn. There, he was joined by his brother; the two claim to have financed their demos by selling drugs."
http://www.starpulse.com/Music/Dope/Biography/

It is interesting to think that one of the leading metal bands of modern times is headed by two brothers who were separated by a divorce. This fact also illustrates that sometimes to get what you want most you have to do some unsavory things like selling drugs.

Interesting Fact

Merle Haggard in Prison at San Quentin

"Throughout 1957, Haggard was plagued by financial problems, which made him turn to robbery. At the end of the year, he attempted to rob a restaurant along with two other burglars; the three were drunk at the time. Believing it was three o'clock in the morning, the trio tried to open up the back door of the restaurant. However, it was 10:30 and the establishment was still open. Although the trio fled the scene, Haggard was arrested that day. The following day, he escaped from prison in order to make peace with his wife and family; later that day, he was recaptured. Haggard was sentenced to a 15-year term and sent to San Quentin prison"(http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/haggard_merle/bio.jhtml).

Interesting facts about Darius Rucker

Darius Rucker Biography
As the front man of Hootie & the Blowfish, Darius Rucker was one of the most popular front men in mainstream pop/rock during the mid-'90s. The band's debut album, Cracked Rear View, was virtually inescapable in 1995, eventually selling more than 16 million copies and becoming one of the most successful albums of all time. Hootie & the Blowfish couldn't recreate that magic on future albums, though, and the band took a break from the studio after releasing 1998's Musical Chairs. Rucker used his free time to launch a solo career, which allowed the singer to explore his R&B and country influences.
I have personally enjoyed Darius Rucker over the years and his transformation into country music genre. Darius Rucker has an unforgettable voice and is an extremely talented song writer. Wither Darius Rucker is singing hip-hop, country, or R&B music; it is all ways a joy to listen to his music.

Right now, I would have to say that my favorite love song is Like A Star by Corrine Bailey Rae. It came out a while back and I literally just heard it for the first time in forever and fell in love with it all over again. It uses alot of metaphors and similes that compare a lover to elements of the earth and life and its just so pretty and it makes my heart melt. :)

Song lyrics to my twin sister

Sister
Sister I look like you,
Sister I look up to you,
The way you push back on the falling bricks
That tries to stop your way each day
Gives me the strength to make it through another day
When you told me that your tired of trying, my heart broke apart
What will I do without you?
Sister I need you now
Sister please don’t leave me now
Sister I look up to you
Sister I need you!

Favorite Love Song --> Lifehouse - I'm Falling Even More In Love With You

The Girl at the Video Game Store

Honestly, love songs aren't really my thing. If I were to select a love song I would choose the one in the following youtube video. It's all about nerd love. The music video also has Olivia Munn, so it's actually fairly enjoyable.

Dragon Ball Z Parody

My favorite parody is DBZ Abridged. It makes fun of the characters and events of Dragon Ball Z. As DBZ was one of my favorite shows growing up, this parody series holds a special place in my heart. This parody exists solely for the purpose of entertainment.

Jeff Foxworthy, Redneck Fashion part 1

Parody of the common man!
http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video;_ylt=A0oGdUmaEnFP8UkA2QNXNyoA?p=jeff%20foxworthy&fr=slv8-hptb&fr2=piv-web

Aerosmith

My all time favorite love song is by Aerosmith, “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.” I have many reasons why this is my favorite song, but the most important reason is that my husband dictated this song to me on our wedding day. I will never forget those wonderful moments.

Favorite Love Song

I wouldn't say that I have a favorite love song, but one that I recently heard for the first time and really liked was Here I Stand by Usher. I like what is said in the song and I like the rhythm of it.

Love Songs

One of my favorite love songs more recently is Whistle for the Choir by The Fratellis. Its simple and the lyrics aren't completely generic.

In the classical realm I would say either Scheherazade: Mvt. III, The Young Prince and Princess by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, or Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliette Overture are beautifully orchestrated pieces on the theme of love.

Lastly, a song that I think everyone secretly likes even if they won't admit it is Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler. Its a powerful song and its fun to sing at Karaoke.

Parody of Racism

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GBta7AFrvE

Reminds me of the movie Crash when the two "black" guys who are actually planning to steal a car from the white couple, remark on how they are the minority in an all white neighborhood yet the white woman is the one who clutches her purse tighter when the black men pass by.
I think this Madtv skit shows how real people interact rather than how the movies depict reactions.

Favorite Love Song

My favorite love song is Act Two by the Roots. The reason why its my favorite is that I can totally relate to genius lyrics as they use hip-hop in different forms.  Hip-Hop continues to play a major role in many of the creative aspects of my life. Regardless of how I'm feeling, there is always a song that I can listen to that can either sympathize with how I'm feeling, motivate me to take back control of my life, or just to listen.

A rather harmless example of a parody ...

A not so harmless & rather offensive (but still hilarious) example of a parody ...

I thought was pretty funny.

Steve Carell's "The Decision" - Spoofs LeBron James on the ESPY Awards (...

Love song

I have a lot of favorite love songs and it's hard for me to pick just one that I like so I'm just going to share my most recent favorite love song. I really like Drunk On You by Luke Bryan. I am slowly becoming a country fan and was introduced to this song and now I really like it. I think I like it because it is so simple and reminds me of summer time.

Mitt Romney vs. Mr. Burns Satire

YOLO                      .

haha.

HAHHAA!! :)

Satire

Janis Joplin's "Mercedes Benz" was one of the first things I thought about when we were asked to bring in an example of satire.  Joplin drove a Porsche, and probably got by okay but didn't really care too much about what people thought about her.  Her song Mercedes Benz is a great example of her putting it out there how so many people expect to get something for nothing.  People are never satisfied with what they have, and at times come over purely ridiculous.

10 lines of two songs

What has happened                                         Oh the sunshine on my face
To make my life so dull                                   The mountain breeze in the air
I follow the rules                                                 A day of solitude
I try to survive                                                      What more can I ask
But everything I do                                            I love the escape from the city life
There seems no meaning to life                  The population of people, gone
Why do I feel so empty inside                    No rules, no nagging
What can I do                                                       Just me and the time
To make me content                                         Oh how I wish this could last
In this awful life where living in               Till the end of time

Parody

This is a ridiculous video that both parodies the series the Hunger Games and a Brittany Spears song. There is not much deep meaning in it. You could say that they are making fun of the type of novels that the Hunger Games are but I don't think that is their intention. This is more for humorous purposes.

satire

satire

I wonder

I wake up in the morning
and go out into the street
I see all these people , looking
straight at me , this man is a doctor
saving all these peoples lives
a girl is a dentist looking in people mouths and I wonder
When I lie awake in bed thinking of all these different people
I just wonder.

Stong

Strong
My love is strong that I don’t need to drink
Your love is stronger that you constantly think about me
The way you care for my needs, that my days go by without skipping a beat
I walk around with chores to do, thinking about loving you
My love is strong that I don’t need to tell you lies
Your love is stronger that you don’t ever ask me why?
The way you hold me at night and satisfy my needs
Makes me believe that you truly love me
We have two beautiful girls that light up our life
With a smile or tear they bring us such delight
Our love runs deep, pure, and strong that you are my soul mate from this moment on
I want to tell you how grateful I am, to have all of you in my life and how you make me so strong

The need to be unique!

The Coca-colonization chapter in Nation of Rebels, which group 5 lectured on Monday, helped me gain a new perspective on why so many people search in way to make them feel unique. I liked what Javier said during his lecture, “looking down from the airplane window, I realized that I’m just one of seven billion people in this world.”   It is natural that individuals must feel the need to stand out and be unique from one another. Being eccentric has its positive results of making sure you’re noticed by others that would not normally stop to look. Although, I am not an eccentric person, I believe that I am unique because I am a twin. My sister and I are identical, and that’s enough for me to be different from everyone else.

Country Song- First 10 lines

I Tried

I tried to move on,
to forget your name
There was no one to blame
It was just so hard.

Each day that moved on
I tried so hard
To forget all those days,
and all those nights.

I tried so hard,
to forget those cheezy old lines
And all those feelings we had
And every kiss we shared

I tried to move on,
and forget your name
There was no one to blame
It was just to hard

Free week--last, last Monday

This post was due a while ago but I kept putting it off.. Since it's spring break and I am not working today, I thought I might as well write the post... I am going to write about village life.

I grew up in a little Inupiaq village called White Mountain. The Eskimo name for my village is Natchirsvik. I am Iġaluiђmuit (Fish River Tribe). Our population is between 200-250.

We rely mostly on our subsistence foods. Most of the village spends a good portion of their summers at fish camp. We catch most of our fish by seining but, we also use rod & reel, and some folks still go out late and use spears to catch white fish. A good portion of the fish caught, gets cut and hung for dry fish. The rest get smoked (dry smoked) and the rest (10-15ish) gets packaged and put in the freezer for winter. During the middle/end of summer, the women gather blueberries, blackberries (crow berries), salmonberries, high and low bush cranberries, puyuguaghaqs (raspberry-like, there isn’t really and English name for these), kuchimaks (wild rhubarb), wild chives, fire weed, clovers, chura, tukaiyuks, chiutђeaqs matchu, and atchaluk. Most of the greens get soaked in seal oil and jarred.

When we aren’t fishing, the men are hunting seal, moose, and caribou. Both women and men butcher and package these. Some people save the moose and caribou hides to put down in their sleds for long snow machine rides and all of the seal skins are cleaned and tanned so they can be used for hats, gloves, mitts, mukluks, and parkas.

This is only a small peek into village life and I would like to write more but this is only a blog post and not meant to be very long, people may get bored. ☺

***The Word on the Street about Teaching Assistants***

Some Department Teaching Assistant's (TA) at UAF that seem to care less when it comes to teaching. Some post-degree seeking students are getting paid by UAF to study while being a TA. The problem is that that some have ZERO experience teaching, which causes students who count on a solid foundation in their major to lack the necessary skills and knowledge necessary for the next level.  After talking to many students about the issue, most say that student TA's "Just go through the motions", and "Many are unable to provide answers to questions to the material that is given". In my opinion, this is probably because they fail to review the material that is given and have a plan for how their class will be conducted, because it's easier to look at their grade sheet for the answer. Its understandable to an extent. since they are students as well, but I would say that the professor should at least, at a minimum, go in to a class and see how it's going. I mean the TA's do teach on their behalf... just saying.

I would say that the TA's argument probably go something like, " If the student has issues then they should say something".  And I will agree with that... to an extent.  However, my take is, "How about the university ensure that when giving a TA scholarship you evaluate the teaching ability, and retrain if necessary".
I post this to see if others have experienced this phenomenon. This topic of conversation seems to be the norm I've had for the last two weeks with various students. The majority say that its only a few TA's, others take teaching by the horns and do extremely well.

Free Week

Since we are able to post whatever we wanted to this week I thought I would post another music video I like.  I like this video because I is a good example of how a lot of people have to deal with the economy.

" The Maple Kind..."

This week has kind of sucked for me, and we're all stressed out over midterms so I thought I'd post something to lighten the mood .I've got two crazy dogs, so this always makes me laugh :)

"Little Shark"

So since we get to post whatever we like this week, I thought I would share a German kids song with you guys... It is in German, but really all you need to know is that it's baby shark, then little shark, then big shark, bigger shark, giant shark and that a girl swims... this lady takes it to a whole other level, but it's definitely worth the laugh!

Random post: Ralph Engelstad Arena!

For spring break I am flying down to Grand Forks, North Dakota. This tiny little city basically has nothing except for the University of North Dakota. The school is known for it's hockey team and spectacular hockey arena. The arena is called The Ralph Engelstad Arena, home of the Fighting Sioux. (Pronounced "sue.") The Ralph is worth over 110 million dollars and is an awesome place to watch a hockey game. The fans make every game exciting. There are children, high school students, college students, older adults, and even senior citizens who are so enthusiastic about their men's hockey team. The arena is always full and everyone just loves being there. Everyone sports UND clothing, jerseys, and anything green, it's definitely an overwhelming experience after attending UAF hockey games.

Trying punk on

I am looking forward to learning about punk. I have always wondered if I could pull off the punk style. Growing up my mom’s budget only allowed my sister and me to shop at stores like Wal-mart and Good-will. The idea of shredding up perfectly good used cloths resulted in a spanking from my mom. Now as adult I can’t think of any reason to shred or put holes in my cloths. For giggles, I would dress up at least once to know what it meant to be punk. Michelle
I have gone to public schools my whole life and personally I liked not having to worry about wearing a uniform. I am used to having the freedom to choose what I want to wear when I want to wear it and I think that if I had to go to a school where I had to wear a uniform I would be even less enthusiastic about school in general. Although uniforms work for some people, there are always going to be people that it affects negatively and I think that it can cause problems for those who are not in favor of them.

FreeWeek

I wanted to find another music video and this one came up its hilarious.

Public Schools

Referring to our discussion in class, I do believe the public education system is very limiting. I recall many times where I wish I was able to focus on the things I enjoyed and was really interested in learning about but was not able to. Some of this was due to classes being unavailable, but mostly I felt as though I had to jump through pointless hoops just so I could have an easier time paying for college. I feel that once one discovers something of interest, they should be able to explore that field as far as they can. The public school system however designates blocks of learning for specific subjects at specific times of the day. It really screams industrialism and mass production which is not how students should be treated. This system is not conducive to true learning. I feel that the public school system teaches people how to take tests more than it allows for discovery of the world around them.

Though I have not had the experience of going to a private school or being home schooled, I believe that the emphasis that can be placed on self discovery and understanding rather than cramming information (sometimes senseless information) would develop individuality as well as a better sense of direction in ones life.

Limit my speech, my actions, but leave me my thoughts!

In the Nation of Rebels, it talks about how clothes indirectly restrict who we want to be because how we dress depicts so much of who we are and what messages we want to get across. So by moving with the social trends marks us as a conformed society reacting to the changes of others and letting it affect our own mark of independence. This limitation on what society deems appropriate or socially normal, does it affect how we think or who we want to be? Well if you look back to early Greece or the Renaissance, periods of great achievement and success in the way of the arts and knowledge, there were no logos, no trademarks, and people made things with enormous amounts of detail and quality for pride and to better themselves and their society. Now, to get something with high quality or originality it will cost you an arm and a leg. Everything else is cheap, and mass produced over seas in sweatshops in order to serve the masses.

This is awesome, its funny everytime you watch it.

I'm flippin tired

I'm always really tired. For a couple years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep, not enough sunshine, Too much pressure from my job, earwax build up, poor blood, or anything else I could think of, But now I found the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked. Here's why:
The population of this country is 273 million.
140 million are retired.
That leaves 133 million to do the work.
There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work.
of this, there are 29 million employed by the federal government, leaving 19 million to do the work.2.8 million are in the armed forces, preoccupied with war. This leaves 16.2 million to do the work.
Take from the 14.8 million people who work for the state and city governments, and that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.
At any given time there 188,000 people in hospitals, leaving1,212,000 to do the work.
Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me! And there you are, sitting at your computer, reading this junk. Nice. Real nice.

This is Funny and Educating

Well-Rounded

Every person in their lifetime pursues a goal or aims to achieve a well-rounded balanced lifestyle. I think that should be a main focus in a college career is to take up an instrument, speak fluently in another language or appreciate the arts. Sure, the core requirements you need to graduate entitle an art appreciation class or two years of a language. Honestly, how much of those classes go into part of your well-being and a more worldly person. Really, most people want to get through those classes and/or get around them in order to get to their classes that "matter".
Think about it though. Who gets the job? The nerd with no social skills or problem solving capabilities or the well-rounded, people-person that has a fair amount of life experiences in order to apply them to every day life? I would hire the person who is going to mesh well into my company and has many other skills and interests other than his/her career choice. So the next time you take an art appreciation class or have some free time, take up a dance class or an instrument, and enjoy learning other things that will make you into a well-rounded member of society or a more sharpened instrument for that counter-society.

Progressivation in the Game Industry

It wasn’t long ago that nerds and geeks were considered uncool and were essentially untouchable. There has been a gradual lessening of this stigma with the rise in popularity of video games. In recent years this is especially true. The gaming industry has become excellent at making games with mass market appeal. In lieu of turning out plot heavy dungeon crawlers there have been numerous first person shooter releases. It used to be that students would fail out of college because of World of Warcraft, now it is becoming common for individuals to fail out because they got caught up playing Nazi zombies. It’s nice to see nerdy things become more accessible and less damnable, but at the same time I hate to see the dilution of an industry that holds a great deal of personal significance.

The Legend of Zelda Rap

I'm an 80's baby and Legend of Zelda is synonymous with my childhood.  The beat they remixed this with is catchy and the inside references to certain parts of the games let the gamer nerd in me squeal like a "Glee" fan at their first Broadway show.  I put this in the same league as the "Dick in a Box" song from Saturday Night Live.  ENJOY!!!!

"The Unforgiven II "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_yK0xOZgro

By far one of my favorite Metallica Songs!! It's not a fancy video, there are no special effects or anything like that, but if you think about it, the video is pretty expressive.

music video..

just because i find it funny. =]

Army's music video "Steel Ding Dong"

Ok it may not be a real music video, but it is a funny parody.

Music Video

This song is by 3 Doors Down. I love their music and I think this song is very touching and the music video goes well with that. Just to think one guy made a big impact on that one family by saveing their lives. Beautiful music video in my opinion.

Ive already posted, but this guy is awesome, definitely worth watching!!!

8 bit trip

This music video has amazing visual effects and brings me back to the original Nintendo era, where 8 bit sound was ground breaking, 16 bit graphics were unbelievable, and the fact that you could control a digital life on a television was incomprehensible. My sister showed this best when she used to pull the cord out of the console trying to get Mario to jump instead of pressing the button... good times.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qsWFFuYZYI

Social Outcast

My band is named Social Outcast. We're modeled after various different styles of rock music; going back and forth between harder and softer rock songs. Most of the songs are just about growing up. We're influenced by bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Lifehouse, Thriving Ivory, Breaking Benjamin, and Shinedown.

Music video

White and Nerdy by Weird Al Yankovich. I think this song is incredibly witty and satirical. It makes fun of everything I love about nerds.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9qYF9DZPdw
http://youtu.be/o9IXAJg4Vm0

This video by bone thugs and harmony is one of my favorite of all times, because of the story it tells and how emotionally charged it is.  It uses all aspects of the production, visual, lyrical, and auditory, all as a rhetorical device to evoke emotion in the viewer.  This is a great example of where something like a music video transcends mere entertainment and becomes a theatrical event.

This is Taylor Swift's new song, Safe and Sound, and I generally don't care too much about the music she makes but this song refers to the Hunger Games! A series of books that were amazing, and this song is such a dark representation of those books. It's a different direction for her to take and I applaud her for that.

“All Summer Long”, by Kid Rock

One of my favorite music videos' is by Kid Rock, “All Summer Long”, because it reminds me of the good times I had while stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia. It was a memorable time as a young 21 year old, the experiences I had like, drinking for the first time. Short, sweet, and fun!

Michelle

I like this video because of its simplticity, and even through its simpleness it covers a whole lot, on why this guy likes what he does and in the end, it shows that he loves his country and I think thats awesome.

Favorite Music Video- Tim McGraw Still

This is my favorite video because McGraw talks about a place that everyone knows.  That place is home and that is the place where you are most comfortable and safe.

Fallin'

I don't have a favorite music video, but Alicia Keys is one of my favorite artists so I chose this video because it always reminds me of when I first heard her songs and immediately became a fan and had to go buy this CD.

Björk - "Army of Me"

Björk is one of my favorite musical artists, not only do I love her whimsical voice, but also her weird music videos.  In "Army of Me" who knows what caused her to choose a gorilla to be a dentist, or why her truck has a mouth, but it is definitely worth watching.  This video caused me to turn to Björk.  The video tells a story in an extremely random sort of way.

Jessie J - Big White Room (Live Acoustic Music Video) w/ lyrics

I loove this song!! one of the main reasons why i posted his music video was because its not a legit musc video, so to me there was no room for being distracted by visual effects or anyhting like that, my main focus was on the song and the artist adn I really really like how sincere the artist is and you can tell she really means what shes singing by herr facial expressions. Her voice is so amazing and the riffs in it are bananas and i just love everything about the video and Jessie J. Point blank period.

Music Video

The music video I chose is called Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood. I can't say that I even have a favorite music video, but I really like this one because it reminds me of my mom and how she is really important to me and supports me in every choice I have made throughout life.

Pomplamoose

This music video that I discovered for an earlier blog post has become a favorite of mine very quickley. It is the music video to Pomplamoose's Bust Your Knee Caps. The video is extremely well done especially considering the duo produced it themselves. The song has a wonderful contrast between lyric material and musical style and it is really just fun even if it is in an off way. Everyone should watch it.

So like, two nights ago i posted a status update on facebook that said i was in the mood to litsten to some great voices, and this guy that I went to high school told me about this band, Blind Pilot.  So, i listened to a song called Story I Heard.  I listened to it and it was pretty cool. They had like a super mellow feel and sounded super under ground.  The lead singer had a great voice that wasnt edited in any kind of way and it was really raw.  It wasnt the best voice I've ever heard, but it fit the instumentals well and it made it unique and they had a tamborine which is super cool. :) It reminded me of a track you'd hear on the soundtrack of an indie movie about teens who sell drugs or have depressing lives and commit suicide.  Yea it's kind of dark I know but thast the vibe I got.
If i had a band of my own, I would name my band The Dancing Nancies. Of course I would have to ask the Dave Matthews Band if I could do that because they have a song titled that, but i think it’d be cool because my group would sing a lot of r&b music and the name gives it an ironic feel because the Dave Matthews Band does mostly like, rock music or whatever genre they do. I don’t even think they follow a specific genre, but yea we would do mostly r&b and hip hop, and dance...duh :)

Obsidian

If I had a band, it would probably be a girl band that would be something with major influences from  Deftones, Kyuss, and Kittie.

Bantha Bashers

My band would be called the Bantha Bashers. The reason for that name is because I would likely be in a band with my best friends, whom are all nerds. Currenty all of us are on a Star Wars kick.  It would be a nerdcentric band with similar styling to Nerf Herder.  I have a deep appreciation for music that talks about nerd things. Besides, if you are going to make music you may as well make music about things you care about. Giving people a laugh at nobody's expense isn't bad either.

SLOTH industrial-gothic-rock

The Name of my band would be SLOTH
We would produce heavy industrial rock, overlayed with haunting melodies, as well as some ballads
I would need a guitarist, drums, and synthesizer, along with a female lead vocalist.
A performance interest would be necessary, as I would like to makes shows as much a spectacle for the eyes as for the ears, crazy costumes, pyrotechnics, and set dressings and lyrics thick with occult references.

The Unseen Promise

The name of the band would be the Unseen Promise. We would play a lot of alternative and contemporary music. The band would focus on having only one lead singer with the rest of the members playing instruments. The band would model itself after The Killers, She & Him, Coldplay, Owl City, and NeverShoutNever.
I would take an interesting route and call the band "Feral Puppies" its an interesting name and its funny. The band would play alternative and punk type music like Panic! At the Disco, Death Cab for Cutie, Breaking Benjamin, and Taking Back Sunday.

The Four of Us

If I were to put a band together I would name it “The Four of Us.” Simply because my life revolves around my family and we are made up of four. Our music would be inspired by Jimmy Buffett’s laid back beach tempos mixed with rock styles of The Engels. I dream that one day our family will lounge around on the beach sipping on ice cold drinks while watching the sunset fade away.
